Rotten Tomatoes

I was so unprepared for my tomato plants to actually produce tomatoes in the scraggly side patch where they’re the only thing in the yard that might be interpreted as “garden” that I let the first round rot on the vine. Luckily, the second batch was caught in time and served with white peach balsamic vinegar and thickly buttered bread. Phew. This moment also means I finally have a tomato picture (even if it’s ugly) to go with with earlier post on how the tomato got its flavor.
